Job Description: 

We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide essential technical assistance to our employees. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving IT issues, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. This is a mid-level position suitable for individuals with 3-4 years of experience. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. 
  • Resolve support tickets within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware peripherals. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary with vendors/OEMs. 
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications, ensuring optimal performance. 
  • Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and software updates. 
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LANs), including routers, switches, and firewalls. 
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure a secure and reliable network environment. 
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard information systems and data. 
  • Conduct regular security assessments and assist in the implementation of security policies. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support procedures. 
  • Develop and update knowledge base articles for issue resolution. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address IT-related requirements and projects. 
  • Conduct user training sessions for IT-related tools and systems. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Ubuntu, and Mac operating systems. 
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft 365 admin portal, Azure AD, Intune, AWS administration and Fortigate. 
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues. 
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar are a plus. 
  • Experience with coding, scripting, database and/or any other domain (IT/Non-IT) are added advantages.
